By Polaroid are a four-piece turned five-piece alternative rock band from various parts of mid-Sussex, comprising Russ Peskett on vocals, Dave Fogwill on bass guitar, Tom Holmes & Joe Hesketh sharing lead and rhythm guitar duties and as of recently, Jamie Tatford on drums. By Polaroid have been playing in various forms since March 2011 when Russ and Dave decided to form a rock group with the aid of our former drummer Joe Lewis. After finding Joe Hesketh on bandmix.co.uk, and thanks to Sound Central Studios the band were able to start writing and recording tracks, and soon enough they got some decent songs down. "Drifters" was the first track the band released as a free download in August that same year, and after starting to gig in September 2011 the band have already had some really proud moments as a band. 

Our highlights so far include playing with Madina Lake at the Concorde 2 in November 2011 (only our 4th gig at the time), sub-headlining Sound Central Studios' first showcase at the Haunt in January 2012 and playing the Clarence Park music festival in Wakefield, Yorkshire in July this year, which also happened be our second guitarist Tom's first gig since he joined the band in May.

As of today we have one EP to our name called This Year's Threat, which combines our love of everything good about today's rock 'n' roll with jagged riffs and melodic vocals, while right now we are back in the studio writing more songs and progressing our sound even further.
